How cute are these!

Polpette = Meatballs. In this case, bitsy (molto piccolo) Meatballs (last seen in Camball's soup cans at your local Grocery Store). So why so little...

to fit into a Pasta Al Forno! A rustic and kid friendly baked pasta featuring none other than...

Zitti (or your preferred "sturdy" pasta), Salami of Buffalo (in this case), Hard Boiled Eggs, Riccotta, Parmesan, Tomato Sauce and of course...Mozzarella! OR whatever is left over in your fridge from the morning/night before. There are no rules...

The recipe:

Have ready sliced hard boiled Eggs, Eggs beaten with Parmesan and the rest of the above ingredients. Put the pasts directly and a stainless steel bowl with the ricotta. It should form a cream like paste coating the pasta.

Add the Tomato Sauce, Salami, Eggs, diced Mozzarella and Meatballs in whatever quantity suits your own personal tastebuds. Transfer to a baking dish. Pour the eggs mixture over the pasta so it seeps through the mixture. Douse with more Tomato Sauce and Parmesan cheese. Bake until it bubbles and makes your house smell lovely.

hey - what goes into those little meatballs? Are they cooked before they get baked with the pasta?
